Wysiedziane / Master Upholsterer / Connoisseur of Polish Design Icons of the 20th Century.
This is Michalina Brodalka – Master of Upholstery and teacher of upholstered furniture renovation in the Upholsterer program at the CKU in Zduńska Wola.
Sewing has accompanied her since her early years – she created patchworks, plush toys, bags… But when she sewed her first upholstery for the Aga chair, she thought: this is it!
Renovating upholstered furniture combines everything that is important to her: respect for the work of past generations, the idea of zero waste and the freedom of creative work. It is also a great way to combine craft with utilitarian beauty.
In her work, she focuses on quality and reliability. She is a graduate of the upholstery school at the CKU at the Complex of Wood and Forest Schools in Garbatka-Letnisko, has completed numerous upholstery and renovation courses, and is constantly expanding her knowledge by training with master upholsterers in England.
On a daily basis, I perform personalized renovations of armchairs and chairs entrusted to me by clients. I also run upholstery courses, where I teach the basics of sewing, renovation and upholstery - infecting others with her passion for this extraordinary craft.
Michalina regularly shops with us, giving Polish design icons new life.
